Meghan Markle book eBay listing controversy
Overview
A first-edition copy of Meghan Markle’s children’s book, ‘The Bench’, was listed for sale on eBay for approximately £20,000. The book featured a handwritten inscription addressed to Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, referencing Frogmore Cottage and a “special bond between father and son.”
Following the listing, reports indicated that Princess Eugenie was “horrified” by the sale and allegedly contacted Meghan Markle to apologize, stating she had no knowledge of the item being offered online. The Duchess of Sussex reportedly accepted the apology and did not hold the Princess responsible for the incident.
