Meiji and Häagen-Dazs announce new ice cream launches in Japan
Several major food companies in Japan are launching new ice cream products in September 2026.
Häagen-Dazs Japan is introducing two limited-time offerings on September 1. The first is the ‘Vanilla Chocolate Sundae’ mini cup, which features vanilla ice cream, crunchy chocolate chips, and a slightly bitter chocolate sauce. The second is part of the ‘GREEN CRAFT’ plant-based series, a ‘Black Sesame & Kinako’ mini cup made with a soy milk base and topped with roasted Hokkaido soybean kinako.
Additionally, Meiji Co., Ltd. will release ‘Meiji Essel Super Cup Cookie Vanilla’ nationwide on September 7. This product is designated as a semi-annual standard flavor, combining vanilla ice cream with moist chocolate cookies.
