Međimurje communities host autumn fairs and traditional harvest celebrations

Local communities in the Međimurje region held traditional autumn celebrations. In Krištanovec, the Autumn Fair and Goulash Competition brought together 11 competing teams despite rainy weather. The first-place prize in the culinary competition was awarded to the Krištanovec branch of the Matica umirovljenika Međimurske županije, followed by ŠRD ‘Zlatna udica’ in second and Caffe bar ‘Korona’ in third. The event featured local handicrafts and products from various associations and family farms.

In Križovec, the Days of Bread and Gratitude were celebrated with a cultural program and traditional delicacies. Organized by the Društvo žena Križovec, the event included performances by local school children and cultural associations. The celebration focused on preserving culinary traditions and honoring the harvest, attended by the Mayor of Mursko Središće, Dražen Srpak.
