Social and educational programs launched for youth in Croatia and Serbia

Various social and educational initiatives are being implemented across Croatia and Serbia to support children and families. In Croatia, the Međimurje Association has launched a three-year program to support foster families, while the MORE program provides psychosocial empowerment for children from Ukraine staying in Umag.

Educational activities for youth include traffic safety programs in Krapina and Pula, and a market walk in Koprivnica to teach children about healthy, local nutrition. In Dubrovnik, workshops are addressing the impact of digital technology and screen time on child development. Additionally, UNICEF is hosting the ‘Rastimo zajedno’ program in Slatina to provide parenting support.

In Serbia, the ‘Youth Caravan Against Discrimination’ has launched in Belgrade. This initiative, supported by the Council of Europe and the EU, aims to train young people to recognize and combat discrimination, peer violence, and hate speech through a campaign titled ‘Block Hate, Share Love 2.0’.
