Mejaši begins 840,000 euro sewerage and water network construction
Construction has begun on a new sewerage network and the reconstruction of water supply pipelines in Stoc Street, Mejaši. The project involves approximately 1,500 meters of new infrastructure with a total investment value of 840,000 euros.
The works are expected to last 14 months and will enable approximately 50 residential buildings to connect to the public drainage system. This new network will link to a collector in Put Mostina, aiming to complete the drainage system in the area.
Ivica Perić, Director of Vodovod i kanalizacija, noted that the project follows extensive preparatory work regarding legal relations and permits. Split Mayor Tomislav Šuta highlighted that this area was previously excluded from the larger Split–Solin agglomeration project, making this local investment essential for providing basic communal infrastructure to the residents.
