Melilla to deploy 1,150 officers for upcoming Fair security

The Government Delegation in Melilla has announced a major security operation for the upcoming Fair, scheduled to begin on August 29. The Local Security Board has coordinated a deployment involving more than 1,150 personnel from the National Police, Civil Guard, and Local Police.

The security plan covers both the fairgrounds and the wider city to ensure public safety during the patron saint festivities. Government Delegate Sabrina Moh emphasized that the operation is designed to allow residents to enjoy the celebrations while maintaining security across all of Melilla. The deployment includes 430 National Police officers, 324 Civil Guard members, and 398 Local Police officers.
