Melina Cultural Center to host two-day tribute to Melina Mercouri

The Melina Cultural Center will host a two-day multidimensional tribute titled ‘The Light That Remains’ on October 17 and 18, dedicated to the life and career of Melina Mercouri.

The event features 3D projections, music, and audiovisual material from the ERT S.A. archives set within a reconstructed old Athenian neighborhood. The program includes a theatrical performance written by Georgia Andreou and directed by Antoni Sotiroupoulou, alongside musical performances by Katerina Papoutsaki.

A special exhibition, ‘Melina: From Yesterday to Today,’ will showcase personal items from the collection of Giorgos Pilichos alongside works by contemporary Greek designers inspired by her aesthetic. The tribute also integrates elements of fashion, mental health guidance, and various lifestyle services.
