Melina Mercouri tribute in Athens

Overview

The Melina Cultural Center is organizing a two-day multidimensional tribute titled ‘The Light That Remains’ on October 17 and 18, dedicated to the life and career of Melina Mercouri.

The event will feature 3D projections, music, and audiovisual material from the ERT S.A. archives within a reconstructed old Athenian neighborhood. The program includes a theatrical performance written by Georgia Andreou and directed by Antoni Sotiroupoulou, as well as musical performances by Katerina Papoutsaki.

A special exhibition, ‘Melina: From Yesterday to Today,’ will display personal items from the collection of Giorgos Pilichos alongside works by contemporary Greek designers. The tribute also incorporates elements of fashion, lifestyle services, and mental health guidance.
