Arla Foods recalls protein pudding due to glass contamination risk

Arla Foods has issued a multi-country recall for several varieties of its protein pudding after discovering the products may contain small fragments of glass. The potential contamination poses a risk of internal injury if consumed.

In the United Kingdom, the Food Standards Agency reported that chocolate, salted caramel, and vanilla cookie flavors are being withdrawn as a precautionary measure. Affected chocolate batches include best-before dates in January and February 2027, while salted caramel and vanilla cookie varieties also carry specific 2027 expiration dates.

In the Netherlands, Melkunie is recalling Chocolate and Crème Brûlée variants with best-before dates ranging from January to February 2027. These products were sold through major retailers including Albert Heijn, Jumbo, and SPAR. Consumers are advised not to eat the product and to contact customer service for a refund.

In New Zealand, New Zealand Food Safety is supporting the recall of Arla Protein Pudding Vanilla Cookie (200g) with a best-before date of 26 April 2027. The product, which was imported from Denmark, has been removed from Woolworths, Fresh Choice, and Foodstuffs stores. No injuries have been reported in New Zealand to date.
