Menofia Governor addresses sewage crisis and public services in Kafr Rabi

Major General Amr Al-Gharib, Governor of Menofia, has launched the second phase of the ‘We Are All With You’ initiative in Tala to address citizen grievances and improve public services. During a seven-hour field session, the Governor met with approximately 100 residents to listen to complaints regarding infrastructure and social welfare.

A primary focus of the visit was the sewage crisis in Kafr Rabi village. Residents reported that long-standing issues with the sewage treatment plant and groundwater have caused stagnant water to accumulate in streets, damaging homes and agricultural land. The Governor instructed the head of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company to expedite the project and resolve immediate sewage line issues to protect public health and traffic flow.

In addition to infrastructure, the Governor addressed social and health concerns. He directed officials to provide urgent financial aid and food vouchers to vulnerable families, facilitate social security benefits, and ensure medical interventions for citizens in critical health conditions. Other local issues discussed included deteriorating road conditions between Kafr Rabi and Tala and water leakage in the streets of Kafr Rabi.
