Menowin Fröhlich splits from record label after DSDS victory

Singer Menowin Fröhlich has parted ways with the record label Embassy of Music following a disappointing period after his victory on the talent show ‘Deutschland sucht den Superstar’ (DSDS) in May 2026. Fröhlich expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of professional implementation regarding his creative ideas, including his own song compositions and outfit designs. He noted that his winner's single, ‘Mercy On Me’, failed to reach the German charts.

Fröhlich cited a lack of a professional environment and management structure as reasons for the separation, which was finalized via a termination agreement. Moving forward, the singer intends to pursue a career blending Schlager with gospel elements and will perform at the Erfurt Christmas Circus in December.

Additionally, Fröhlich will collaborate on a new song with his great-cousin, the rapper Sido, on Sido's upcoming album scheduled for release on November 27. This collaboration also marks a personal reconciliation between the two relatives after a long period of silence.
