Men's Reproductive Health Push Calls for Early Urology and Fertility Checks

Health specialists in Colombia and Argentina are urging men to seek preventive urological and fertility evaluations before symptoms appear. In Colombia, doctors highlighted that prostate cancer and other urinary disorders often develop without early signs, recommending regular checks for men over 50 and advising attention to symptoms such as weak flow, nocturia, blood in urine or semen, and sexual dysfunction. They stressed that early diagnosis improves treatment outcomes and urged lifestyle measures like regular exercise, balanced diet, and control of hypertension, obesity and diabetes.

In Argentina, reproductive‑health experts emphasized that fertility declines with age for both women and men, and that early consultations can inform future family planning. They outlined tests such as anti‑Müllerian hormone levels and ovarian ultrasound for women, and semen analysis for men, and highlighted risk factors—including smoking, excess alcohol, obesity, stress, and certain medications—that can affect sperm and egg quality. Annual medical exams and healthy habits are presented as key to preserving reproductive potential.
