Merab Dvalishvili and Petr Yan face off at UFC 333 press conference

During the UFC 333 press conference in Abu Dhabi, Merab Dvalishvili and Petr Yan discussed their upcoming championship bout scheduled for October 24. Dvalishvili expressed confidence in his mental strength and fighting style, stating he is prepared to become the champion.

Petr Yan emphasized his goal to defend his title and defeat Dvalishvili, suggesting he intends to use a methodical approach while remaining open to a knockout. Yan also remarked that Dvalishvili’s tendency to involve political themes and international conflicts in his rhetoric makes a post-fight friendship unlikely, noting that the rivalry has moved beyond purely sporting boundaries.
