Mercado Bitcoin integrates Sui network for Brazilian clients

Mercado Bitcoin, a major Latin American cryptocurrency exchange, has become the first platform in Brazil to support transfers on the Sui network. The integration allows the exchange’s 4.5 million clients to trade, send, and receive SUI tokens, USDC, and USDsui.

Through this collaboration with Mysten Labs and the Sui Foundation, USDsui can be utilized as collateral for Mercado Bitcoin’s lending products. The partnership aims to increase access to Sui-based finance within the Brazilian market. Additionally, the exchange is exploring the use of Sui’s Bitcoin infrastructure for future lending and borrowing capabilities, alongside plans to launch a tokenized real-world asset program on the network.
