Mercedes-AMG releases V8-powered performance coupes

Mercedes-AMG is highlighting its high-performance V8 coupe models, including the C 63 S Coupé and the rare CLE 646 Spezialanfertigung.

The C 63 S Coupé, part of the W205 generation, features a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine producing approximately 510 hp and 700 Nm of torque. It is designed to balance sporty performance with daily usability, utilizing a rear-wheel-drive setup and an AMG Speedshift MCT transmission.

The CLE 646 Spezialanfertigung represents a return to lightweight, rear-wheel-drive V8 performance. It is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with a flat-plane crankshaft, delivering 637 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. This model features an Akrapovic titanium exhaust, carbon-fiber components, and an extensively reworked chassis to enhance track capabilities. It achieves a 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 310 km/h.
