Mercedes-Benz adds lower‑priced electric GLC 250 and 300 models
Mercedes-Benz is expanding its electric SUV range by introducing two lower‑powered, cheaper variants of the GLC. The new GLC 250 features a rear‑drive electric motor delivering 260 kW (354 hp), 0‑100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, an 85 kWh battery and a WLTP range of up to 647 km. The GLC 300 4Matic pairs two electric motors for 310 kW (421 hp), 0‑100 km/h in 4.7 seconds, the same 85 kWh battery and a WLTP range of up to 613 km. Both models use the 800‑volt architecture of the MB.EA‑M platform and support up to 320 kW DC fast charging. Prices start at roughly €64,700 for the GLC 250 and €68,300 for the GLC 300, compared with the earlier‑introduced GLC 400 4Matic (94 kWh battery, from about €71,000). The expansion broadens Mercedes’ electric‑vehicle offering in the German market.
