Rheinmetall and Mercedes-Benz partner for British Army mobility

Rheinmetall UK and Mercedes-Benz UK have formed a strategic partnership, operating under the name ‘Team Wolf’, to support the British Army’s Land Mobility Programme. The collaboration aims to provide tactical mobility through a family of light vehicles known as the ‘Wolf Pack’.

The proposal utilizes the Mercedes-Benz W464 platform as a common base to reduce logistical, maintenance, and training complexity. New models introduced at the Defence Vehicle Dynamics 2026 exhibition include the Timber Wolf and Silver Wolf, which join the existing Shadow Wolf and Caracal models. These vehicles are designed for diverse roles, including transport, command, medical evacuation, special operations, and logistical support.

Rheinmetall will lead the military integration, mission systems, and specific configurations. To support this, Rheinmetall’s Telford facility will serve as the Vehicle Integration Centre for Team Wolf, focusing on systems integration, testing, and validation within the United Kingdom.
