Mercedes-Benz launches electric GLC SUVs in Taiwan and Hong Kong

Mercedes‑Benz has opened orders for new electric GLC models in two Greater China markets. In Taiwan the brand will offer the GLC 300 4Matic electric and GLC 400 4Matic electric, both with dual permanent‑magnet synchronous motors, 800 Nm of torque and power outputs of 421 hp and 489 hp respectively. The GLC 300 carries an 85 kWh battery with a WLTP range of 616 km, while the GLC 400 uses a 94 kWh pack delivering up to 715 km. Both models feature AIRMATIC suspension, digital cockpits, Burmester sound systems and a range of luxury appointments.

In Hong Kong the company introduced the GLC 250 Electric, the first Mercedes‑Benz SUV built on an 800 V architecture. It is equipped with an 85 kWh pack offering a WLTP range of up to 650 km, 354 PS and 505 Nm torque, and can charge from 10 % to 80 % in about 22 minutes. Priced from HK$799,000, deliveries are expected later this year. The launch marks Mercedes‑Benz’s expanding electric‑vehicle lineup in the region.
