Mercedes-Benz launches new GLA generation in Rastatt

Mercedes-Benz has launched the new generation of its GLA model at its production facility in Rastatt, Germany. The plant, which employs approximately 7,000 people, remains a central hub for compact vehicle manufacturing within the company’s global network. To support future production, investments in the triple-digit million euro range are planned to expand capacities and implement digitalized planning processes.

In conjunction with these manufacturing developments, Mercedes-Benz will showcase the new GLA at the 2026 Paris Motor Show (Mondial de l’Auto). The event serves as a highlight of the company’s 140th anniversary year, featuring a major product offensive that includes the GLA, the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45, and various electric models, highlighting the brand’s focus on electrification and future mobility.
