Mercedes-Benz launches new GLA SUV with advanced MBUX Superscreen

Mercedes‑Benz unveiled the latest generation of its compact GLA SUV at the GLA Studios in Warsaw. The model features a sportier silhouette, a wider rear track and a distinctive illuminated grille with 608 light points. The roof incorporates a glass panel with 102 integrated stars.

Powertrain options include fully electric versions (165 kW, 200 kW and 260 kW with battery capacities of 58 kWh to 85 kWh) and a 1.5‑litre turbocharged four‑cylinder engine paired with a 48 V hybrid system that can drive the car at low speeds using a 22 kW electric motor. Interior upgrades centre on the MBUX Superscreen, a full‑width display that merges the instrument cluster, central infotainment screen and passenger screen, and a generative‑AI virtual assistant for personalised dialogue.

Ola Källenius, chair of the Mercedes‑Benz Group board, highlighted the model’s 140‑year heritage and its aim to “emotionally engage customers every day”. The launch underscores the brand’s push toward electrified and digitally connected vehicles.
