Mercedes‑Benz launches all‑electric GLB SUV in Singapore
Mercedes‑Benz unveiled the all‑new electric GLB compact SUV at a launch event in Singapore on 23 June. Two versions were introduced: the entry‑level GLB 200 Electric Progressive with a 58 kWh battery, 110 kW (147 bhp) output and a claimed 453 km range, and the top‑spec GLB 250+ Electric AMG Line Sport with an 85 kWh battery, 200 kW (268 bhp) output and a claimed 674 km range. Both models produce 335 Nm of torque and qualify for a Cat A COE, the GLB 200 being the first compact electric SUV to do so. Pricing starts at SGD 280,888 for the GLB 200 and SGD 310,888 for the GLB 250+ (including COE). The new GLB is larger than its predecessor, offering more legroom, headroom and a total cargo capacity of 597 L (including a 127 L frunk). Standard features include a panoramic sunroof, LED lighting and optional Sky Control roof. Mercedes‑Benz also announced hybrid GLB variants (GLB 180 and GLB 200 hybrids) slated for a late‑2026 launch.
