Turkish municipalities roll out extensive road renovation projects
Municipal authorities in several Turkish districts are carrying out simultaneous road‑renovation programmes. In Merkezefendi (Denizli), the municipality is laying about 6,000 m² of key‑paving (kilit parke) on main streets, while Mayor Şeniz Doğan says the works aim to make traffic safer and more comfortable.
In Muğla’s Menteşe district, Mayor Gonca Köksal Aras oversaw the completion of a drinking‑water valve room, drainage upgrades, hot‑asphalt resurfacing and a 12.5‑km road‑widening and surfacing effort across dozens of neighbourhoods.
Aydın’s metropolitan mayor, Özlem Çerçioğlu, reported that road construction, maintenance and surfacing are proceeding in all 17 districts, covering bridges, main avenues, and dozens of local streets.
Burhaniye (Balıkesir) also continues pavement repairs, storm‑water pipe installation and coastal hot‑asphalt work, with Mayor Ali Kemal Deveciler highlighting round‑the‑clock effort to improve safety and livability.
