Turkish municipalities launch social and healthcare initiatives
Various municipal and social initiatives are being implemented across Turkey. In Mersin, the Metropolitan Municipality provides comprehensive home healthcare, personal care, and cleaning services to vulnerable citizens, including the elderly and those with disabilities, spanning from Tarsus to Anamur.
In the same region, a digital study by Nixeny Dijital reveals that 75.7% of businesses in Mersin lack an independent website, highlighting a significant digital gap across various districts.
In Bursa, the Metropolitan Municipality is conducting field visits to support seasonal agricultural workers, providing health screenings, cleaning, and pest control, alongside educational and sporting activities for children.
Additionally, the Damla Volunteer Movement, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, has brought national and international university students to Nevşehir. These volunteers are engaging in social responsibility projects, including visiting disadvantaged families and supporting special education centers.
