Mersin industrial site roads undergo first renovation in 20 years

The Mersin Metropolitan Municipality has completed a major road renovation project at the Tırmıl Industrial Site. The project addressed infrastructure that had not been updated in approximately 20 years.

To combat deformation caused by heavy commercial vehicle traffic, municipal teams utilized 3,200 tons of hot asphalt to repair damaged surfaces and reinforce main arteries. The works included surface preparation, asphalt laying, and the application of road markings and logos to improve traffic safety and organization.

İlhan Çokgün, Chairman of the Tırmıl Industrial Site Board, expressed satisfaction with the project, noting that the municipality responded quickly to the tradesmen's requests. He thanked Mersin Metropolitan Mayor Vahap Seçer for the support in renewing the three major avenues and primary arteries within the industrial zone.
