Turkey infrastructure projects see major regional investments

Various regional infrastructure and development projects are underway across Turkey. In Tire, İzmir, a 300 million TL investment led by İZSU is nearing completion, focusing on separating rainwater and wastewater systems to increase climate resilience. This project includes renewing drinking water lines and applying over 3,300 tons of asphalt.

In Mersin, the Çeşmeli-Kızkalesi highway section is in its final stages, aiming to reduce travel times from 2.5 hours to 18 minutes and save over 3 billion TL annually in time and fuel. Meanwhile, in Sivas, Sivas Cumhuriyet University has inaugurated a 100 million TL solar power plant to meet one-fifth of its electricity needs. Additionally, a new high-speed train station building has opened in Sivas.

Other local updates include water storage capacity doubling in Çanakkale through new reservoirs, road improvements in Gülnar (Mersin) and throughout Trabzon, and ongoing sewage line construction in Kızıltepe (Mardin). In Manisa, a 160 million TL project is proposed to address long-standing infrastructure issues in the Evrenos Industrial Zone.
