Mersin's Mut District Roads Repaired After Winter Rain Damage

Heavy winter rain in Mut district of Mersin province caused deformation and breakage on several local roads. The Mersin Metropolitan Municipality coordinated the Road Construction, Maintenance and Repair Division with the Muhtarlık Affairs Division to carry out sathi (surface) and hot asphalt works.

The works included resurfacing 12.5 km of the Alaçam‑Özlü road and 7.5 km of the Selamlı‑Kadıköy road with sathi asphalt, a 1.5 km double‑layer repair on Sarıoğlu Değirmen Street in Deveci neighbourhood, and a 1.25 km hot‑asphalt paving of Uğur Mumcu Street covering the Deveci and Yatırtaş areas. The reconstruction aims to restore safe, comfortable transport, reduce agricultural product loss during shipment, and extend road longevity.
