Côte d'Ivoire maintains fuel prices amid Petroci gas facility fire
The Ivorian Ministry of Mines, Petroleum and Energy has announced that fuel prices will remain unchanged for November 2026. Super unleaded petrol is set at 905 FCFA per liter, gasoil at 725 FCFA, and kerosene at 780 FCFA. Cooking gas prices also remain stable, with 6 kg butane bottles at 2,000 FCFA and 12.5 kg bottles at 5,200 FCFA.
This price stability follows a gas leak and fire at the Petroci gas site in Vridi, Abidjan, on October 31. The incident occurred on the return line of sphere 1. Emergency protocols were activated, and the fire was successfully contained without any reported casualties or impact on the national butane supply. The response involved Petroci, the Ivorian Refining Company, and military firefighters.
