Messina undergoes leadership changes in police and municipal boards
Messina is undergoing several administrative and leadership changes across public security and municipal governance. In the police force, Chief Commissioner Francesco Cipriano is transferring to Milan, leaving his position at the Messina Questura. He is being succeeded by Andrea Interdonato, who previously served as deputy director and will now lead the Office for General Prevention and Public Assistance (U.P.G.S.P.).
Simultaneously, Mayor Federico Basile has announced new appointments for the boards of directors of municipal companies. These changes involve replacing previous figures, such as Mariagrazia Interdonato at Messinaservizi, with new personnel largely drawn from the center-right. Analysts suggest these local appointments serve as a strategic laboratory for Cateno De Luca and the Sud chiama Nord movement ahead of upcoming regional and national elections in Sicily.
