Meta data center project in Talavera receives urban planning approval
The Castilla-La Mancha Ministry of Development has approved the land re-parceling project for the ‘Meta Data Center Campus’ in Talavera de la Reina, Toledo. This approval concludes the urban management phase required before construction can begin on what is expected to be one of Europe’s largest data centers.
The project is being promoted by Zarza Networks S.L., a subsidiary of Meta. Following the resolution, the promoter has a ten-day deadline to provide a financial guarantee of 1,089,554 euros. This amount corresponds to the monetization of 49% of the urban development benefits stipulated in the project’s original approval as a Project of Singular Interest.
