Meta expands Threads parental supervision to Asia Pacific

Meta has expanded its parental supervision features to the Threads platform for users in the Asia Pacific region. This update allows parents and guardians connected via the Family Center to monitor and manage the activities of teenagers on the app, ensuring consistency across Meta’s ecosystem.

Key features include the ability to view daily usage time over the past week and set daily time limits. Parents can also implement a sleep mode, which restricts access during late-night hours; by default, this mode disables notifications and enables automated replies between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

Additionally, the update provides controls over privacy settings, content visibility, and tagging. These tools complement existing automatic protections for teen accounts, such as default private settings and content restrictions.
