Meta introduces AI tools for game creation via mobile and web

At the Meta Connect conference, Meta introduced two new AI-powered tools, Horizon Create and Horizon Studio, designed to allow users to develop 2D and 3D games using natural language prompts without traditional programming skills.

Horizon Create is a mobile application that enables users to describe a game idea to generate playable experiences, including progression systems, difficulty levels, and multiplayer modes. Horizon Studio is a browser-based platform offering more granular controls for scene arrangement and manual code adjustments. Both tools utilize the Meta Horizon Engine and share a common backend, allowing creators to seamlessly transition projects between mobile and web environments.

Once developed, games can be published directly to Facebook, Instagram, and Horizon. This integration allows users to join multiplayer sessions instantly from social media feeds without separate downloads. Meta is also preparing a lightweight VR device, weighing approximately 100 grams, which is expected to launch in spring 2027 for $1,299.99.
