Meta expands Muse AI assistant to iPad with business integrations

Meta has expanded its Muse AI assistant to iPad, following its initial release on iPhone and Android in September 2026. The assistant has reportedly surpassed 6.6 million mobile installations within its first month of availability.

Designed as a personal AI agent, Muse can perform multi-step tasks by connecting to various third-party services. New business and productivity integrations include Asana, Canva, Dropbox, Figma, QuickBooks, GitHub, Klaviyo, Notion, Slack, and Zoom. For retail and shopping, Meta has partnered with Best Buy, Gap, Sephora, Walmart, and Wayfair, allowing the agent to browse products and complete transactions on behalf of the user.

To address challenges where websites block AI agents as bots, Meta is working with industry partners to develop an open standard for identifying legitimate AI agents. The service aims to move beyond simple chatbots toward “work-capable” agents that can manage emails, meetings, bills, and grocery orders. Muse operates using the Muse Spark model within a dedicated secure virtual machine to protect user credentials and sensitive data.
