Meta's Muse AI assistant reaches 10 million users in six weeks
Meta's personal AI assistant, Muse, has surpassed 10 million users in the United States and Canada within approximately six weeks of its launch. Mark Zuckerberg announced the growth during the company's third-quarter earnings call, noting that the application's adoption rate has exceeded twice the initial growth seen by Threads and other major AI applications.
User engagement is high, with approximately 25% of users active on a daily basis. A significant portion of Muse's utility is centered on commerce; more than one-quarter of users make purchases through the assistant, with average transaction amounts exceeding $200. Due to this high shopping volume, Meta has reportedly requested increased credit limits from payment processor Stripe.
While the service remains free for most, Meta plans to offer subscription tiers for heavy users at $20 and $100 per month. The company also intends to collect commissions from businesses for sales facilitated by the assistant.
