Toluca approves property value updates and festival security measures
The Toluca City Council has approved an update to the Unitary Land and Construction Value Tables for the 2027 fiscal year. Mayor Ricardo Moreno stated the adjustment, which averages 4.07% in homogeneous areas, follows legal mandates and does not exceed inflation rates. The proposal will now move to the state legislature for final approval.
In conjunction with these fiscal updates, the council authorized a series of tax discounts to support the Special Program for the Regularization and Titling of Housing through INSUS. Between October and December 2026, eligible residents can receive discounts of 70%, 60%, and 50% on property taxes and acquisition fees to facilitate legal certainty for their homes.
Additionally, the administration has granted permits for the 2026 Alfeñique Fair and Cultural Festival. To ensure public safety during the festival's headline concerts, authorities have issued strict guidelines prohibiting items such as weapons, alcohol, glass, large umbrellas, and drones. Security measures aim to maintain a peaceful environment for families attending the celebrations.
