Metro Pacific Water announces P23B investment for regional expansion

Metro Pacific Water (MPW) has announced plans to invest P23 billion by 2031 to improve water operations in the Philippines and Vietnam. The investment aims to bolster water security through infrastructure development, the creation of new water sources, network rehabilitation, and pipeline repairs.

According to MPW President and CEO Andrew Pangilinan, the funds will also be used to reduce non-revenue water and implement new technologies to increase network reliability and efficiency. The company currently utilizes modular treatment technologies, such as reverse osmosis, to serve water-scarce regions. MPW’s operations include serving approximately 221,000 households across various Philippine locations and maintaining a presence in Vietnam’s Nghe An province through its subsidiaries.
