Greek Orthodox clergy conduct various religious services and ceremonies

Various Orthodox Christian liturgical services and religious events took place across Greece in mid-September.

In Volos, Metropolitan Ignatius of Demetrias presided over a Divine Liturgy at the Holy Church of Agios Gerasimos, where he spoke on the theological significance of the Cross and the dialogue between Christ and Nicodemus. In Thessaloniki, Metropolitan Philotheos welcomed the Holy Relics of Saint David the Elder to the Panoramas Chapel, marking the start of a festival that includes the consecration of the church.

In Veria, Metropolitan Pantelaimon conducted a blessing ceremony at the Greek Police Training School and presided over a liturgy at the Holy Church of Agios Alexandros in Alexandreia, where he ordained a reader. Additionally, in Agiopigi, Metropolitan Timotheos celebrated the Feast of the Nativity of the Theotokos, discussing the role of the Virgin Mary in the plan of salvation and addressing modern demographic challenges.
