Metropolitan Theologos ordains new priest in Serres

On Sunday, August 30, 2026, Metropolitan Theologos of Serres and Nigrita presided over a divine liturgy at the Holy Temple of Evangelistria in Serres. During the service, deacon Michael Alexoudis was ordained to the priesthood.

Drawing inspiration from the Gospel parable of the vineyard, Metropolitan Theologos provided spiritual guidance to the newly ordained priest. He emphasized the immense responsibility of the priesthood, describing clergy as stewards of the divine mysteries and workers in the vineyard of Christ. The Metropolitan stressed that the ministry requires great reserves of faith, virtue, love, patience, philanthropy, and humility.
