Metropolitan Timotheos leads religious services in Thessaly

Metropolitan Timotheos of Thessaly and Fanariote Farsala presided over several religious services in Greece during late August 2026.

In Karditsa, the Metropolitan led the Matins service and Divine Liturgy at the Holy Monastery of Panagia Faneromeni Kalliphoni to mark the Feast of the Dormition of the Mother of God. During his sermon, he discussed the mystery of the incarnation of Jesus Christ and the role of the Virgin Mary as a model of humility and devotion.

In Farsala, the Metropolitan conducted the ordination of Deacon Akakios Deligiannis to the priesthood at the Holy Church of Saint Nicholas. Deligiannis is a member of the Holy Monastery of Panagia Pelekitis. In his address, the Metropolitan emphasized the divine calling, noting that God often chooses the weak and the humble rather than those deemed wise or powerful by worldly standards.
