Metropolitano de Lisboa workers announce partial strikes for late October
Metropolitano de Lisboa workers have announced two partial strikes scheduled for October 28 and October 30. The disruptions are expected to take place between 05:00 and 10:00.
Labor unions, including Fectrans and STRUP, state that the industrial action stems from unresolved issues following an agreement signed on April 13. Specific grievances include staffing shortages in the Central Command Post and Traction Posts, excessive reliance on overtime, prolonged shifts, and delays in training supervisors and inspectors.
The company has indicated it will petition the Arbitration Tribunal to establish minimum services to mitigate the impact on commuters and maintain essential mobility services in the city.
