Metrorex faces delays in new collective bargaining negotiations
Negotiations for a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCM) at Metrorex have faced initial delays due to conflicts of interest within the administration. Following a decision by the General Meeting of Shareholders, members of the administration's negotiating committee are prohibited from having relatives employed by the company to ensure impartiality.
According to Marian Artimon, president of the Unitatea – Sindicatul Liber din Metrou, it took four weeks to form a 13-person committee because only 13 employees at the company's headquarters do not have relatives working within the Metrorex system. The union has expressed dissatisfaction with the mandate of the current administration committee.
