Metso invests in South American mining service network

Metso is expanding its service network in South America to support the region's critical mineral production. Over the last two years, the company has invested approximately EUR 45 million to modernize its service centers across the continent.

A significant portion of this expansion includes a newly approved EUR 19 million investment to construct a service center in Minas Gerais, Brazil. This facility is expected to begin operations in the first quarter of 2028.

Other regional investments include capacity expansions in Antofagasta, Chile, and Parauapebas, Brazil, as well as the construction of a new facility in La Joya, Arequipa, Peru. Additionally, Metso opened a new office in San Juan, Argentina, in the second quarter of 2026, with plans to invest in specialized technical support infrastructure there.
