Mexican Army Seizes 124,000 Liters of Gasoline in Mazatlán

The Mexican Army carried out an operation in the community of La Urraca, south of the port of Mazatlán, where soldiers seized a cargo of 124,000 liters of gasoline along with vehicles, armaments and ammunition. The seizure included four storage tanks, a tractor‑truck, a vehicle, two motorcycles, long‑range weapons, nine magazines, 270 live rounds and four tactical vests. Three individuals were arrested and handed over to the Ministry of Public Safety for investigation. The operation was described as one of the largest fuel confiscations recorded in the region, aimed at disrupting illegal fuel trafficking.

Authorities said the operation was part of broader security efforts in the state, which also involve the deployment of additional army and National Guard personnel to counter organized‑crime activity.
