Mexican authorities seize 150 kg of methamphetamine in Baja California

Federal security agencies in Mexico—SSPC, the Navy (Semar), the Ministry of Defense, the Attorney General's Office and the National Guard—carried out a coordinated operation in Baja California that resulted in the seizure of 150 kilograms of methamphetamine. The drug quantity is estimated to represent about 3.75 million individual doses, denying that supply to street markets and inflicting an estimated loss of roughly 38 million pesos on criminal organizations.

The raid followed investigative leads obtained after the earlier detention of two suspects who had been found with 68 kilograms of crystal meth. All seized material has been turned over to the public prosecutor to be included in the case file, underscoring the authorities' effort to weaken organized crime structures in the region.
