Mexican Customs Seize 2.5 kg of Cannabis Seeds Hidden in Voodoo Dolls Bound for Bolivia

Federal authorities in Mexico intercepted a shipment at the Guadalajara customs office that contained about 2.5 kg of cannabis seeds concealed inside two voodoo dolls. The cargo, packed in five cardboard boxes, originated in Sinaloa and was slated for export to Santa Cruz, Bolivia. The seizure was carried out by the National Customs Agency (ANAM) in coordination with the National Guard and the Secretariat of Security and Protection Citizen (SSPC), and the material was handed over to the Federal Prosecutor's Office for further investigation. No arrests were reported. The operation is part of ongoing inspections aimed at curbing illicit drug trafficking through Mexican ports of entry.

Similar anti‑trafficking actions have recently yielded other drug busts, including cocaine interceptions at maritime ports and an airport seizure of 12 kg of cocaine, underscoring Mexico's broader effort to strengthen national security against illegal shipments.
