Mexican Film Events: 'Loco México Mágico' Pre‑Screening in Veracruz and Cine al Margen Festival in Mexico City

A red‑carpet pre‑screening of the comedy "Loco México Mágico" was held at Cinépolis Plaza Las Américas in Alvarado, Veracruz. Director Carlos Santos, cast members such as Daniel Sosa, Silverio Palacios and Sofia Carrera, and local officials including mayor Beto Cobos Márquez and tourism secretary Igor Rojí López attended. The event highlighted the film’s regional roots and announced its nationwide release on 13 August.

The third edition of the Cine al Margen festival is taking place in Mexico City through 9 August, presenting nine feature‑length films and thirteen short films from ten Mexican states. Organized by Morgue Films MX and Itsilik’ Estudio with support from PROCINE, the festival aims to promote independent Mexican cinema and will continue with a national tour in early 2027.
