Mexican leaders organize to defend the Cuarta Transformación

Political leaders in Mexico are organizing efforts to defend the ‘Cuarta Transformación’ (Fourth Transformation) and national sovereignty. In Tlaxcala, Senator Ana Lilia Rivera called for unity within the movement, warning that internal divisions could benefit minority interests that have historically concentrated power.

In Sonora, Senator Lorenia Valles Sampedro detailed an internal process involving the Morena, PT, and PVEM parties to define 17 state coordinations. This selection process will utilize a housing survey open to the general public to provide legitimacy to those leading the State Coordinations for the Defense of the Transformation and National Sovereignty. Valles Sampedro emphasized the importance of maintaining the achievements of the current administration, including welfare programs and minimum wage increases.
