Mexican mayoral hopefuls tour Hermosillo and Reynosa to forge alliances

Hermosillo municipal treasurer Flor Ayala announced her intention to run for mayor, stressing that a unified opposition coalition with parties such as PRI, PAN and newer registrants is essential to challenge the ruling Morena administration. She warned of potential water shortages if state support for the Novillo aqueduct remains lacking and highlighted recent improvements in security perception, patrol numbers, and utility services.

In Reynosa, mayoral candidate Luis Miguel Iglesias visited the Martín Rocha, 10 de Noviembre and Francisco I. Madero ejidos, meeting residents to hear their concerns and present his citizen‑focused platform. He pledged continued outreach across the municipality, emphasizing the need for greater opportunities, prosperity and peace for the city's populace.
