Mexican municipal leaders advance local business partnerships

Mayor Diego Castañón Trejo of Tulum met with representatives of CANIRAC Tulum to reaffirm the municipal government's commitment to the restaurant sector. The discussion covered possible summer‑season fiscal incentives, discounts on municipal fees and other measures aimed at supporting local entrepreneurs.

In San Andrés Cholula, Mayor Lupita Cuautle signed a collaboration agreement with the Puebla Chamber of Commerce, Services and Small Tourism (CANACOPE). The pact will fund free business‑training programs, workshops and a municipal job board to connect employers with job‑seekers, targeting micro, small and medium enterprises.

Both initiatives seek to strengthen dialogue between local governments and the private sector, promote economic growth, and create formal employment opportunities in their respective regions.
