In late July 2026 Mexican officials at both state and municipal levels intensified efforts to stimulate local economies through partnerships with business chambers. On July 25, Querétaro’s Secretary of Development Social, Luis Nava, convened market vendors and architects to devise a joint agenda for improving the Mercado Reforma space, supporting families, and planning long‑term commercial projects. In parallel, Reynosa’s Deputy Magaly Deándar met with the local National Chamber of Commerce to discuss legislation aimed at boosting commerce, creating jobs, and enhancing coordination between the state congress and business groups.

Two days later, municipal leaders continued this trend. Tulum’s mayor, Diego Castañón Trejo, met with CANIRAC Tulum to outline fiscal incentives, fee discounts, and other measures for the restaurant sector during the summer season. Meanwhile, San Andrés Cholula’s mayor, Lupita Cuautle, signed a collaboration with the Puebla Chamber of Commerce, Services and Small Tourism (CANACOPE) to fund free business‑training programs, workshops, and a municipal job board targeting micro, small and medium enterprises. Both sets of initiatives reinforce a pattern of Mexican local authorities working with business associations to promote economic growth, formal employment, and stronger public‑private dialogue.
