Mexican municipalities boost safety coordination in Jantetelco and Toluca
In Jantetelco, Morelos, the municipal council convened an ordinary session of the Municipal Public Security Council to reinforce crime‑prevention strategies and improve coordination among local authorities, civil protection, fire services and the civic court. In Toluca, Estado de México, the municipal government partnered with state and federal agencies to conduct two chemical‑emergency simulations at Gas Imperial and Nestlé. Scenarios included a simulated LPG fire and an anhydrous ammonia leak, testing response plans, evacuation procedures and inter‑agency communication. Over 40 civil‑protection personnel and company brigades participated, demonstrating enhanced readiness for hazardous‑material incidents.
